These cotton T's are upcycled from unwanted promotional T-shirts discarded by a business in our neighborhood. We helped them manage this excess garment "waste" by turning these unloved tops into unique pieces that celebrate transformation and self expression.

The original T's are stripped of their luridly bright colors to create unique pastels with a natural-dye look As we remove the dye in small batches, variation in tones occurs. Dye cannot be stripped from the thread so it remains as a colorful detail that nods to the transformation process behind these shirts. 

The shirts are turned inside out for a new blank canvas, though traces of the original print may be visible, showing the dynamic history and layered narrative that make these shirts so uniquely anti-waste. We love them for their non-automated, DIY feel.
