Stretch velvet performs many wonderful functions in garments from fancy New Years Eve dresses, to matching sweat suits, to cozy bralettes and headbands. This fabric is very soft due to the napped surface on the front, while the backside is like a normal knitted jersey fabric. It is a polyester and spandex blend to help with extra mobility. If you are trying to add a little bit of luxury to your design, upscale it with a nice and drapey stretch velvet.
