Yes — this reinforcement bar mounts underneath at the factory points and doesn't interfere with your existing bumper cover or trim. No removal needed.

Do I need to remove anything to install this?

You'll need access to the rear bumper mounting area, which may require removing the bumper cover or liner depending on how you want to approach it. Standard socket set and jack are your main tools.

Can I paint this before installing it?

You can, but mounting it first makes masking and touch-up easier. If you do paint beforehand, let it cure fully and be careful not to chip the finish during installation at the bolt points.
