FX250 Performance Clutch kit with 14 pound Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel - STREET - 110% Increase in Holding Capacity The FX250 is engineered for street use with a focus on being able to handle racing on the weekend. The combo friction material will stand up to a driver who likes to drive aggressively occasionally and/or has a spirited driving style. The FX250 clutch system has a higher holding capacity than a traditional full faced Kevlar (found in the FX200) and does so without compromising the street friendly characteristics Clutch Masters is known for. It features only slightly increased pedal pressure, longer life than stock clutch, and normal clutch feel during engagement and disengagement for a very smooth operation. Every Clutch Masters flywheel is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA. Flywheels are first designed in CAD and are then precision CNC machined in house in one of or Haas CNC lathes out of 6061 aluminum or 1045 steel billet cores. After machining, the flywheel is zero balanced to ensure it is evenly weighted on all sides and spins 100% true. Each aluminum flywheel is Type 3 Hard Anodized for the ultimate in durability and protection of the aluminum. All steel flywheels are black oxide coated to add a layer of rust prevention and gives our steel flywheels a unique black finish. The flywheel is then assembled by a Clutch Master Craftsman, double checked for imperfections and tolerances, and is then ready to be paired with your OEM clutch kit or one of our FX100-FX500 single disc clutch kits or twin disc options. All flywheels are SFI 1.2 Certified for use in motorsports. The FX250 System uses our Hi-Leverage Pressure Plate and a hybrid combination of friction material including Clutch Masters New Formula Button on one side and a heavy-duty Steel Back Organic friction lining on the other. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and have a spirited driving style. The FX250 clutch system has a higher holding capacity than a traditional full faced Kevlar without compromising the street friendly characteristics Clutch Masters is known for. All stages come as a complete kit including disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing (when applicable), and alignment tool.(Individual components available upon request) Organic/ Kevlar/ Formula Button Clutch kits are expected and tend to have a higher life expectancy than OEM, however not guaranteed. Improper Installation, Driving style, performance upgrades, Break in procedure and light weight flywheels will effect and have a role in determining the life expectancy of the clutch kit.
