This opulent 1920's black silk velvet coat, accented by delicate pleated and quilting stitches, is the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection.

The elegant neckline is accented by a high collar which joins the front of the coat in a scarf design, which boasts gathered pleats along each extremity. The scarf can be worn tied along the front of the neckline, aided by a concealed hook and eye or worn open to create a lapel feature. The shoulder line is set off by raised quilted design stitched pleats, which radiate along the front of each yokes and shoulder lines, contouring the back of the neckline in subtle pleats . The full length inset sleeves, are edged with gathered pleats along each cuffs. The straight line cut of the coat skims the silhouette in true 1920's fashion. This coat is fully lined in silk.

Condition: This coat is in near perfect vintage condition. Two very small sympathetic darns along the back left hand side of the shoulder line. These are well concealed within the lustre of the silk velvet and only apparent upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
