Macsen is a hand-drawn tiled design inspired by the decorative philosophy of Christopher Dresser. Mirrored Art Nouveau florals reflect the natural principles outlined in his 1862 book The Art of Decorative Design—symmetry, growth, repetition, and order.

Part of the Collaboration chapter in Liberty’s 150th anniversary collection, it honours historic design theory through a refined modern lens.

Since opening its doors on Regent Street in 1875, Liberty has been synonymous with artistry and innovation in textile design. This anniversary collection shines a light on the makers behind the magic, exploring the designers, illustrators, and printmakers who have helped shape Liberty’s story.

Divided into three themes - Craftsmanship, Collaboration, and Collectibles. From the Studio offers a rare glimpse into the creative process, from initial sketches and hand-painted artwork to digital experimentation and final fabric prints. A true celebration of Liberty’s legacy in printmaking and storytelling.
